The exhibition „Intractable and Untamed: Documentary Photography around 1979“ questions photographs in around 1979 as to their aesthetic, ethical and political references and qualities. The years around 1979 are characterized by a series of social upheavals and crises. The documentary function of photography became an artistically important position as a result.
