Thomas Hoepker, born in 1936, has been living in New York since 1976. He has been a full member of the legendary agency Magnum Photos since 1989, and was its president from 2003 until 2007. Hoepker’s images, committed and sworn to the truth but never voyeuristic or hurtful, are synonymous with documentary photography, warts and all. The gallery shows works from the black-and-white series “Heartland – An American Road Trip, 1963”, and from the series “Champ” of 1966 about Muhammed Ali, along with colour photographs from New York from 1960 until 2013.
