Festival Centres

The PhotoBookMuseum at the Carlswerk in Cologne-Mülheim and the MAKK – Museum of Applied Art, Cologne will form the Festival centre for the duration of the Festival. The free festivalguide will be obtainable there – as well as at all other exhibition locations, which number more than 80. This is a handy source of information on the exhibitions. In addition the Festival pass can be acquired there: this enables reduced admission to selected exhibitions by the partner venues.

The Museum of Applied Arts, Cologne (MAKK) has been an active Photoszene partner in previous years too. It is the only museum of its kind in North Rhine-Westphalia, offering the full spectrum of European art handicrafts from the Middle Ages to the 20th century with the focuses on furniture, ceramic, glass, textiles and fashion, jewellery and metalwork, graphics, painting and sculpture. The MAKK will become one of the two Festival centres for the duration of the Photoszene Festival, and will thus form the platform for numerous events.
