Among other places he has already photographed in Afghanistan, Palestine, Lebanon, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Japan and Darfur. His pictures appear in renowned publications such as GEO, Time, Spiegel, FAZ and the New York Times Magazine. For the New York Times in 2005 and 2009 he also travelled for nine months in Iraq, where he was embedded with American, British and Iraqi troops and reported on the war being waged there.
