The exhibition shows photos by Maxi Uellendahl that were created for the book “Zerkall - Die unzeitgemäße Geschichte der Eifeler Büttenpapierfabrik Zerkall Renker & Söhne”, which was published in 2013 on the deckle-edged paper for which the Zerkall factory was famed. The images paint a portrait of the factory and its works and capture a moment of German industrial history. Maxi Uellendahl’s feel for naturalness, her empathy and her abstracting eye for structures lend the work particular tension.
