Frederick Vidal (*1977, lives and works in Hamburg) looks for visual arrangements whose mysteriousness throws up the question of whether this is still chance at work, or whether a conspiracy among things is taking shape. He is interested in paradoxical surfaces and supports that appear as self-generating images: images that are created when nature and culture mutually overwrite themselves. Frederick Vidal has produced new works specially for the exhibition “Second Nature” at Kunsthaus Rhenania.
