First Floor: The exhibition shows Lee Friedlander’s structurally complex landscape photographs alongside Pierre Bonnard’s drawn sketches, which served as templates for Bonnard’s paintings and which testify to a photographic gaze.
Second Floor: In collaboration with the artists, in 1973-74 the legendary Double Elephant Press in New York published four portfolios featuring photographs by Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Walker Evans, Lee Friedlander and Garry Winogrand. The portfolios are viewed as milestones in photographic history.
