How deeply rooted Cologne's carnival is in people and how much positive energy is released during the carnival can perhaps best be perceived when one observes the Cologne Triumvirate. The concern here was not to take conventional shots of glamorous stage shows, but the moments when the Cologne Triumvirate comes right up close to people. Photographer Joachim Rieger invites the beholder to view the Cologne Triumvirate as almost no-one has viewed it before.
