Presentation and discussion

On 19 September schaelpic photokunstbar is inviting contemporary photographers to the portfolio presentation at Photoszene centre MAKK. The artists such as Stefan Sappert, Thomas Bachler and Jürgen Hermann Krause use old and modern photographic methods. To close there will be a podium debate under the title, “Silber gegen Bytes” (Silver versus Bytes) with Thomas Bachler, Prof. Rolf Sachsse and Reinhard Matz. Moderation: Miriam Halwani (Museum Ludwig).

The schaelpic photokunstbar is a project space for photography and is supported by the Atelier für Mediengestaltung (Media Design Studio), with Frank Doering, Tobias D. Kern, Martin Frech and Annette Völckner, DGPh.
In photography’s anniversary year schaelpic presents, with its annual programme “Silber und Bytes”, four exhibitions featuring five photo artists from Tokyo, Vienna, Basel and Cologne. In doing so schaelpic spans the arc from the early methods of photography to new imaging processes that are now used in science and art. The exhibitions will be accompanied by workshops, lectures and film evenings.
All info and the full programme can be found at schaelpic.de

Furthermore the Austrian photographer Stefan Sappert will host a wet-plate-collodion workshop (further information and registration stefansappert.com/workshop)
Dates: 20+21 Sept 10 - 17h
