Christoph Bangert is an internationally acclaimed photojournalist who specializes in reportages on political events and from war and crisis zones. Among other places he has already photographed in Afghanistan, Palestine, Lebanon, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Japan and Darfur. His pictures appear in renowned publications such as GEO, Time, Spiegel, FAZ and the New York Times Magazine. For the New York Times in 2005 and 2009 he also travelled for nine months in Iraq, where he was embedded with American, British and Iraqi troops and reported on the war being waged there.
Christoph Bangert’s work is characterized by moral and ethical questions, which he puts to a wide audience in his recently published book “War Porn” free of any (self-)censorship.
